Chapter 31: Agents in Disguise

The four agents returned to their private room.

No one ate the new dishes they ordered. They were all silent.

They re-checked the room, even more thoroughly than before.

Then they took out another bag of equipment.

It was a set of anti-surveillance equipment.

After they had settled everything, the four men came to the window. They lifted the curtain slightly, revealing a small gap. After observing for a while, they closed the curtain again.

“Did you notice it too?”

“Next, we will stop all activities and enter a state of lurk. If we leave rashly, we will expose ourselves. Spies are very perceptive, you know.”

The leader stood up, walked to the door and stopped again.

“Remember to disguise yourself well, or else you will suffer a fate worse than death if we get caught.”

After saying that, the leader opened the door and returned to his own room.

After the leader left, the recruit complained:

“Captain, you are overcautious. Their agents may not be as powerful as we thought.”

Seeing the young man’s grumbling, an older man patted him on the shoulder:

“Our Captain once fought with their agents. That battle was extremely bitter and he almost died there.”
