- Chapter 1 - If You Put a Leash on Villain Chapter 1
‘9:57. That’s accurate.’
The dagger she had near her chest was hidden inside her sleeve so that she could take it out immediately. She approached his back slowly and carefully, so as not to cause a loud commotion.
The moment the target took a step to enter the mansion, she held a dagger against his neck. The man, feeling the cold blade, stopped.
“Shh.”
She was going to slit his throat.
However, the situation did not go as expected. The moment she was about to slit his throat, the man grabbed the blade with his bare hand without hesitation. Surprised, Eclette, without knowing, loosened her grip on the knife and stepped back.
‘Why……?’
The plan was perfect.
At 9:57 tonight, the man was destined to die at her hands.
Eclette glanced at her watch. The time was already 10 o’clock.
It was already time to kill the man, but she wasn’t able to.
“Welcome?”
The man thoughtlessly looked down at his cut palm and turned back.
It was a relaxed and drowsy voice for a person who was almost assassinated.
Red hair stood out through the hood. As soon as she saw the hair color, Eclette realized that the guy standing in front of her wasn’t her target.
‘Something went wrong……!’
She bit her lips slightly and looked around.
The assassination failed.
Before he can find out who she is, she must escape quickly from this place.
Eclette decided to move quickly on the escape route she had planned. It was at that moment when she stepped back to distance herself from the man.
A strong hand grabbed her wrist. She struggled in surprise, but only more strength went into the hand that held her wrist.
While struggling roughly, the man’s hood came off.
In the bleak darkness, cold eyes shone. The red hair protruding out of the hood caught her eye.
The man smiled faintly and slowly reached out. His fingertips touched her head.
“I waited.”
For a long time.
It was a deep and cool voice, as if it would swallow her up at any moment. She encountered blue eyes that flashed dangerously like a hound hunting for prey.
Eclette swung the dagger in her hand. Hurriedly, she stepped back and ran away without missing a beat.
She heard the sound of rapid running from behind her. Even if she didn’t look back, she could tell that the man was coming.
‘Why are you following me?’
Immediately, she climbed the wall.
It’s annoying that she couldn’t get rid of her target, and instead received a chase in the middle of the night.
However, when she noticed that something was a little uncomfortable, she asked as if he was questioning something.
“What’s going on?”
“Eclette.”
