Chapter 40: The Secret Of The Rose Family

“Valkyrie, are you scared of fighting them? Have you forgotten that you are full of weapons?”

“Master, I am very sorry. You are right. Every part of my body is a weapon and my combat strength level is legendary. The opponent’s humanoid combat robot is only at mid-level.”

“Valkyrie, don’t worry. You are strong. If you really can’t fight, you still have me.”

Shireen was not concerned about Valkyrie’s worries at all. What a joke. She did not even have to use her bloodline power. They were just some gangsters who were blocking her way.

“Master, they seem to have sped up a lot.”

“Ignore them. Concentrate on driving.”

Shireen sneered. She did not care about the pursuers at all. In fact, if one looked carefully, one could see that Shireen’s eyes were filled with excitement and anticipation.

“Robert, the winner has not been decided yet. Let’s continue.”

Shireen glanced at Robert, she was not admitting defeat at all.

“No problem.”

After saying that, Robert aimed the Vulcan cannon at the gang members who were trying to get close.

*Thud thud thud*

“Ah! Ah! Ah!”

Their motorbikes shattered and the gangsters fell to the ground. They screamed in pain but Robert’s expression was aloof.

However, Ellie and Shireen were very excited.

Although there was no sight of flesh and blood flying everywhere, the scene of the gang members being shot by the Vulcan cannon was not something that ordinary people would get to see.

Robert did not care.

“Good shot, big brother. You’re really accurate. You’re the sharpshooter.”

Ellie clapped her hands excitedly while praising Robert. Her sister was right beside her, but she did not think that highly of her.

This made Shireen jealous.

“Ellie, is my shooting bad? Robert has never even touched a gun before, and I’m already proficient in all kinds of gun techniques. I’m better than him at using the Vulcan Cannon, okay?”

“I really doubt whether you are my biological sister or not.”

Hearing how jealous her sister was, Ellie giggled.

“Sister, you are not bad, you are better than big brother at playing.”

“Playing?”

Robert thought in his heart, ‘As expected of a member of the royal family. Engaging in a dangerous battle with a gang was just a game to them.’

“Ellie, I’m not going to talk to you anymore.”

“Sister, you’re jealous.”

Robert could not help but laugh at this scene.

Shireen and Ellie were dumbfounded.

“Big brother, is this not exciting enough?” Ellie asked.

She had obviously misunderstood Robert. She thought that Robert felt that it was too easy to deal with these gang members, so he let out a relaxed laugh.

“I also feel that it’s not exciting enough because I’ve done this with my sister before.”

“Ellie, you’ve been talking too much recently.”

Before Ellie could finish her sentence, Shireen stopped her. Seeing her sister’s deadly gaze, Ellie seemed to remember something and quickly covered her mouth with her hands.

“Shireen, Ellie is your sister but you’ve kept scolding her. I really doubt whether you’re her biological sister or not.”

Robert could not stand it anymore. Shireen was scaring Ellie again.

Shireen was his future wife. He definitely could not just sit back and watch her walk further and further down the wrong path.

“Big brother, you’re really nice. You’re willing to stand up for Ellie, unlike my sister, who only knows how to scold me. I’m also doubting if she’s my biological sister.”

Ellie smiled at Robert. She liked Robert more and more.

“Seriously, if you don’t cherish me, you will lose a cute and sensible sister.”

Shireen held her forehead and sighed.

“Sensible?”

“The most insensible one is you!”

Shireen did not mean to yell at Ellie. She was just afraid that Ellie would say something bad which she does not want Robert to know.

She was afraid that if Robert knew about some things, he would leave them. Shireen did not want that to happen.

She did not have time to tell Ellie about this.

“Robert, look at what you did. You’ve changed my sister.”

Shireen pretended to be very angry.

“Shireen, what do you mean I changed your sister? It’s you who doesn’t cherish her, right Ellie?”

“Big brother is right. Sister, you don’t cherish me at all. You’re going to lose me. I’m going to roam the world together with him.”

“Ellie, wherever you want to go, big brother will take you there.”

Robert patted Ellie’s head.

“Really? Ellie wants to go to a lot of places,” Ellie said excitedly.

Shireen saw that both of them were completely treating her as if she was an invisible person. They were seriously discussing where they wanted to go without her. She looked at Robert and Ellie with her mouth wide open.

“Enough! Do you think lowly of me? One is my future husband, the other is my biological sister but both of you want to travel together without me? The two most important people in my life are going to leave me? Ellie, I’m sorry. It’s my fault. I apologize to you. Robert, please forgive me. I didn’t mean to be mean to Ellie.”

Shireen sounded like she was about to cry.

She pretended to wipe her tears.

“Sister, can you stop crying? Ellie was just joking. Even if I want to go on a trip, I will bring both of you along. You two are my favorite people.”

Ellie was heartbroken when she saw how sad her sister was.

“Ellie, what you’ve said is true? You’re not angry with your sister?”

“Of course. Sister, you didn’t take it seriously, did you? Really, you’re already an adult, yet you still cry like a child. You really have no shame.”

Ellie took out a white handkerchief and handed it to Shireen.

Shireen took the handkerchief and wiped her tears.

“Ellie, I’m your sister. Don’t you dare say that I’m like a child.”

“Sister is just a child, and you’re still crying.”

“Don’t you dare say it.”

“Sister, you’re angry at me again.”

“Yes, I’m sorry, Ellie. It’s my fault.”

Seeing the sisters reconcile put a smile on Robert’s face.

Ellie was still young, so she did not notice that when Shireen was wiping her tears, the corner of her mouth revealed a sly smile.

But it could not escape Robert’s eyes.

Robert had seen it all. He knew that Shireen had to stop Ellie from talking because she had some secrets that she did not want him to know. He knew that Shireen was not being mean to Ellie on purpose. She must have done it because she was afraid that he would misunderstand her.

However, Robert discovered her secret long ago.

Every time a gang member died, a red ball of light would fly out from their corpse and be absorbed by the two of them.

Robert had long heard of the powerful Rose family. It was rumored that the women who came from the Rose family were almost like heaven-chosen existence.

After discovering the source of their power, Robert laughed in his heart. Using the word “Blood Rose” to describe them could not be more appropriate.
