Chapter 37 Greenhill House, Obelisk!
The Weapon Refining Sect was located in the middle of the Heavenly Domain, where some of the stronger sects were still qualified to reside. The Weapon Refining Sect wasn’t as prestigious as some high-level sects, but many sects didn’t have their kind of strength.
Su’en was still swallowing pills as he flew through the air. Divine Spirit Pills were different from Foundation Establishment Pills; one did not need to be in seclusion to completely absorb its medicinal power.
Suddenly, while in flight, Su’en felt the breath in his body loosen. His Golden Core seemed to have strengthened a little, and the speed at which he produced True Qi had increased again.
When he was cultivating the Divine Lightning Sword Technique, his cultivation had been on the verge of breaking through. Now, after eating some Divine Spirit Pills, he had succeeded.
He had reached the mid-stage Golden Core Realm!
Although my progression is a little slow, the Heavenly Domain Ceremony is coming soon. I hope that I can break through to the Spirit Convocation Realm in time.
Su’en squinted in thought. The Spirit Convocation Realm was also known as the Life Realm. Everyone had a soul, but compared to the physical body, its existence was fragile, even invisible. After mortals who didn’t practice cultivation died, their souls would dissipate in the world within seven days. No one knew where they went-the legendary Netherworld, perhaps, before being reincarnated.
However, one’s spirit in the Spirit Convocation Realm was formed from one’s Golden Corey, condensed in the Golden Core Realm. After reaching the Golden Core Realm, every cultivator had their own Golden Core. However, if they wanted to break through to the Spirit Convocation Realm, they had to nurture their Golden Core into a Spirit Body first.
The Spirit Body born from the Golden Core was as weak as an ordinary soul, which was why Spirit Convocation Realm cultivators worked hard to temper their souls. Only after tempering the soul to a certain level would it take a physical form. After which, one would advance to the Nascent Soul Realm. By then, cultivators would be able to let their souls-which were no longer as fragile-leave their bodies.
The power of some demons’ souls was what allowed them to possess others’ bodies; they could break out of their own bodies without fear of the sun. These souls were like newborn babies, which was also why this realm was called the Nascent Soul Realm.
While he was deep in thought, Su’en finally arrived at the Weapon Refining Sect. The sect was built on a volcano, and magma would constantly spew out from below. At the same time, one could see many people waving hammers and forging weapons on some mountains.
This was the Weapon Refining Sect, the number one weapon refinement sect in Jingzhou, only rivaled by the Tempering Valley in the East.
“So it’s true. The Fire Breath Paradise is below the Weapon Refining Sect.”
Su’en looked around. From his perspective, the whole of the Weapon Refining Sect seemed to be made of flame. Every time he breathed, he could feel his insides burning. Although blessed lands with special auras were practically the exclusive territory of high-level sects, special sects like the Weapon Refining Sect were still qualified to obtain some of these lands from said sects.
Su’en flew down toward the entrance of the sect, where many people were streaming in and out: those who wanted to buy, trade, or repair weapons. Most, if not all of them, were disciples of the Heavenly Domain. He couldn’t see the secular people of the outside world among them.
After taking in the scene, Su’en entered the Weapon Refining Sect. The hall for welcoming guests was not only large, but lavish. There were all kinds of buildings in the hall, each clearly expensive. Weapons that emitted light floated above the hall. They were used for display, and there were many treasure artifacts among them.
The purpose of Su’en’s visit was to buy a treasure artifact, and see if there were any opportunities around. He began to walk around the Weapon Refining Sect.
The land owned by the sect was massive, about tens of thousands of miles, and the range of his Opportunity Guidance was only about ten miles. So he needed to move around.
An hour later, Su’en stopped, his eyes bright with surprise. A white dotted line appeared in his vision.
In the last hour, Su’en had searched almost everywhere he was permitted to enter in the Weapon Refining Sect, with no traces of any white dotted line. He had been ready to give up if he found nothing here.
When he first arrived, he had thought that a powerful sect with such large territory, like the Weapon Refining Sect, should have many opportunities around. But the reality had been different; it had taken him so long just to discover one opportunity. But when he thought about it, it made sense. This was the Heavenly Domain, and those who were granted entry were talents from all over Jingzhou. With so many prodigies and geniuses of extraordinary abilities, most of the opportunities would have been snatched up by them long ago.
With that in mind, Su’en followed the direction of the white dotted line.
The location of the opportunity was very remote; he saw fewer and fewer people as he walked. Finally, he followed the dotted line into an attic that sold weapons.
The Weapon Refining Sect was no different from other sects: while its focus was refining weapons, it also had many schools. Each school had its own fixed location for making weapons, and venues for selling them. And weapons from different schools weren’t quite the same either.
The loft that Su’en had entered was called Greenhill House-a rather delicate-sounding name.
S
Su’en examined his surroundings. There were so few people in this attic that it was practically empty. He looked at the weapons on display. Although there was a variety of them, they had one thing in common: they were massive.
Absolutely massive!
Especially the huge sword hanging in the middle of the shop, the hilt was taller than Su’en. What kind of stature would one need to have to wield it?
The build of the weapons was indeed surprising, as was their lack of aesthetic appeal. The place was named ‘Greenhill House’, but the weapons here were all so big. How had that happened? One didn’t need to ponder the reason for the slow business here.
“Welcome to the shop, sir. What would you like to buy?” a middle-aged man asked, walking over with a smile. There were so few customers here, the shop owner’s enthusiasm came as no surprise. He probably didn’t want to let a potential customer slip through his fingers.
“I’ll have a look around myself first.” Su’en searched where the white dotted line led him, before finally stopping at one particular weapon.
It resembled a sword, and an ordinary one at that. There was nothing special about it, but it was too big, just like the door panels in his courtyard.
On the weapon was one word: Obelisk!
